Glad it landed ok , I wonder if it was some disgruntled staff member or just some pranksters. OA had a situation last year where it had to make two such landings with A340's at SNN and STN.

A bit more info, the bomb threat was called to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Customer Helpline at 07:37 this morning, some 50 minutes before the plane's scheduled landing in LCA from DXB.

JAT then informed the captain who shared the bomb threat with LCA Tower.

High-speed priority landing was granted and the aircraft isolated on the tarmac. LCA was placed on code-red, meaning possible terrorist activity. Not sure if any traffic was affected.

All ended well - false alert.

Doesn't that flight stop in Beirut to refuel? It's strange because JAT displays it as having 1 stop, they have Beirut in their list of destinations, but they won't seem to let you book a flight online to Beirut. Strange, as I remember seeing a JAT office in Beirut a few years ago selling really cheap flights to Dubai.

Anyone have any info on this?

It's scheduled routing is DXB-LCA-BEG, as stated here:

That used to be the case. I'm not even sure JAT still fly to Beirut lately.

There will come a time when you believe everything is finished - that will be the beginning.

Local media explained that the procedure in cases like this, is to isolate the plane an wait until the time when the flight would normally arrive to its destination. Then search the aircraft before allowing operations to resume.

That's correct. JU dropped BEY after many years of operations  Sad

DXB flights are now routed via LCA

Do you know if they get good loads to LCA?

Surprisingly good. Having flown to Dubai via Larnaca on Jat (as well as Beirut previously) for business the planes are very full. This flight had 67 passengers but from Larnaca had 110 passengers. During the summer its always full. I think its one of the rare destinations Jat manages to sell out.
