I heard from a friend that work at fed ex that they will unload a 747 from NW cargo tomorrow. anyone else heard this? I also heard from a few evergreen employees that a cubana plane will be at gate F88 tomorrow as well but couldnt give me time, can anyone clarify this. I would think that cubana wouldnt be allowed to operate its aircraft here in the US. Any info would be nice, so i can go and photograph them

I remember the days in TPA when National(Sun King) Airlines, Northeast Airlines, Braniff Airlines, Pan Am 707's, Delta Convair 880's, Eastern Ailrlines, United(Stars & Bars), & Naples Airlines were a mainstay in TPA. Now that was the Golden Days of the Airline industry.

Quoting Xtoler (Reply 10): On a serious note, it is a bummer to expect something and it doesn't happen. NW I can believe but if someone tells me a CU a/c is coming in, I'd be a bit suspicious of my source.
Ha, that reminds me when I was living in TPA back in the late 1990s and the new UA schedule came out. Some rocket scientist in the schedule/printing department must have done a "find-and-replace" in the master file before it went to the printer because ALL "B757" flights listed in the itinerary section were changed to "B767". Imagine my surprise when I woke up early one morning to head over to TPA hopeing for a B767 only to see the B757 still at the gate. Then I went back to the schedule and confirmed that UA messed up BIG TIME. I think I still have the schedule.
