Improved Air France Figures For October..

Air France announced improved figures for October .
Trafic increased by 9% and load-factor by 0.7% to 81,3 %.
best increases on African and Middle East sectors ( + 12% )

Brilliant, but it would be nice to compare those figures with competitors of the same type. Is that increase due to their efforts, or to more demand on the market, is what I mean...

- AF traffic results are up by 3.6 % in real terms (the 9% year on year is due to the strike in October 2007, which resulted in unusually low traffic figures)

- BA suffers another sharp decline in premium traffic: 9.2% vs a 3.3% decrease in non-premium traffic, after an 8.6% decrease in premium traffic and a 4.1% decrease in non-premium traffic in September

- RPK (000,000) October :
AF : 18,414 (+9.0%)
BA : 9,696 (-4.4%)
LH : expected Nov 11

- RPK (000,000) April to October 2008
AF : 129,970 (+3.5%)
BA : 70,666 (2.3%)
LH : uses the calendar year and not the IATA year, January to October data expected on Nov. 11

- LH Group traffic results are up by 2.5%

- BA suffers another sharp decline in premium traffic: 9.2% vs a 3.3% decrease in non-premium traffic, after an 8.6% decrease in premium traffic and a 4.1% decrease in non-premium traffic in September

- RPK (000,000) October :
AF : 18,414 (+9.0%)
BA : 9,696 (-4.4%)
LH : 13,495 (+2.5%)

- RPK (000,000)
AF : 129,970 (+3.5%) April to October 2008
BA : 70,666 (2.3%) April to October 2008
LH : 131,052 January to October (+17.0% increase that is not significant as LX was consolidated only starting in mid-2007)
