I see today, for the second week in a row, UA has not sent out its list of E-Fares. A message on the web site said its E-Fare search tool is not available. I'm not sure what that means . Not that I use the E-Fare search tool, as the "Search for Flights" tool seems perfectly adequate, sort of, but a list would still be helpful for spur of the moment travel. Or, are E-Fares about to die, so get over it?
Of course, maybe this is only a small part of a larger problem with the UA web site "Search for Flights" itinerary pricing sytem. Recently, it seems to be "gagging." That is, "available" prices in the "flexible date" matrix sometimes don't match the "available" prices for the first, supposedly lowest- priced "available" itinerary shown immediately below the matrix, and sometimes have a nasty habit of getting re-priced, typically much higher when the actual itinerary is selected and set up for purchase.
I know fares and prices can change in a millisecond, but they really shouldn't change in the middle of the selection and purchase process. If an "available" price for your date(s) selected shows $309.00, the "available" lowest-price itinerary listed shouldn't show $329.00, and then be re-priced to $1,248.00 when you click "Select" to complete the purchase details. This seems to be recent phenomenon. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Our E-Fares search tool will not be available for E-Fares published on Tuesday, November 11, 2008.
They are not available for this weeks fares, after they promised last week that they would be. Its amazing that UA can't even be bothered to fix this part of their site. Anyone familiar with computers knows that they MUST have a list available of these fares in order to LOAD them, as when you search you can find "SPECIAL LAST MINUTE FARES". What in the WORLD is going on over at UA that they can't put up a simple list of Efares like every other airline?
