While Arik Air is presenting their newest Airbus A340 in the growing fleet, another Arik Air Fokker 50 was seen in a revised c/s (brown --> purple)

Strange to me why only this a/c has received this little change.  Confused
No more details are known but maybe other members can give solution.

This aircraft will operate for Arik Niger. Hence the new colours and flag.

I notice that according to Wikipedia, and I remember reading in other more reliable news sources, Arik Air has obtained rights to fly to POS (Trinidad and Tobago). Does anyone have info on their plans regarding POS? Is it just pie in the sky or are they serious about a couple weekly flights to POS?

I put on that information on wikipedia a few years ago. I updated most of the wikipedia pages on Nigerian aviation that time. The landing rights were discussed during a visit of seniors from the Trinidad government to Nigeria in 2006 or 2007. The Nigerian government allocated the landing rights to Arik Air at that time. I don't believe they have intentions to make use of those rights. In addition, at various points in time Arik Air obtained landing rights for Paris and Amsterdam.
