Anybody have any ideas as to why CO 1533 has been upgraded to a 762 for yesterday, and is again scheduled for today (per FlightAware)? Just a normal equipment swap, or was there some other reason?

Cheers,
Cameron

Yesterday was an aircraft swap to a 762, but today, CO1533 is currently planned to operate with B757-300, ship number 868. Possibly a MX or WX-related swap?

Interesting. Good to know you can't really trust FlightAware for future flights.

Thanks!

Yep. FlightAware will nearly always show the flight for tomorrow scheduled to be flown by the same equipment that operated said flight today.

Just to be clear - changing from a 753 to a 762 is not an "upgrade" unless you're in F. The 753 is a significantly larger plane than the 762. Even CO's 752's are 1 seat bigger than their 762's!

Maybe the term "upgrade" is referring to an aircraft that has 2 aisles as opposed to a single aisle such as the B753!! Just a random thought here.  Confused

IMO, anytime a flight is changed from a narrowbody (757) to a widebody (767) would be considered an upgrade.
