Yes, do you? Well this small airline from Sweden had a great life and I always respected them a lot. They had strong ties with Portugal flying a lot to Lisbon and also to Funchal in Madeira islands. I remember when I saw their 727's first with that orange circle in the tail I questioned if Japan Air Lines was flying to Lisbon with 727's!!!! But no, soon I found out that it was Transair Sweden. I saw them a lot, first of all with their factory 727-134's, SE-DDA and DDB where only passenger version but SE-DDC was 134C with side cargo door. Did you knew that Transair Sweden was the first charter airline in Europe to have the 727? Yes just after Lufthansa, TAP and Icelandair they received the first two in 1967. SE-DDC was received in mid 1968 and until 1979 they used this strong fleet flying anywhere, that was something, with only 3 727's. I think those guys where hard workers but very professional. Normally all their inspections where donne in TAP hangars so it was quite usual to see a 727 comming or goin out from inspections. In the beggining of 1979 they received a ex: Lufthansa 727-030QC SE-DDD and I know that latter Transair Sweden was absorved by Scanair, but I don't know where their 727's are now, if any of the people in this forum know more about this airline I would like to know specially those from Scandinavia!
