Why Does EK Run The LR To JFK?

I do apologize if this has been discussed before so please don't bash me, but can somebody tell me why EK runs the 77L to JFK on certain days? I see that it rotates between the 77W and the 77L along with the A380 being the second daily. Is the 77L used on certain days because of cargo?

Reason is as they already have the A380 on EK201 and demand is not that big on EK203 now until holiday season starts. They need the B777-300ER on other higher density routes with the demand. EK203 will go over to a B777-300ER as soon as the holiday season starts, the SFO service are launched. This is all connected with the Boeing delivery delay as well. So it’s all connected to each other if u think about it.
