Great corporate video celebrating the people, history and future of the new Delta.

One great airline!

It's you. They are, and will be, white.

Ironically I have never flown a Delta MD-90 :)

So we get whats great about both DL and NW put together but we also get whats not so great about them aswell!

Don't forget, this video was made for the consumption of the employees, DL and NW, not the general public.

thanks for sharing this but I'm gonna be just a bit pessimistic (I know it's hard to believe).
does it not appear that a big reason for this video is to convince NW employees how great the DL culture is and remind NW employees that they should begin the process of voting out their union now?

how many times did we hear ONE GREAT AIRLINE? Certainly true but it only be ONE when the NW employees give up their respective unions.

Pessimism aside, you gotta love Bastian's comment that "we have to keep our eyes on the prize: to be the biggest and best airline." You mean I'm not the only one who is fixated on size?

Oh, and there are plenty of cities that were not featured in the video. The video was clearly filmed primarily in three main areas. The absence or presence of any hub certainly doesn't say anything about corporate strategy.

IMHO I didn't like it...

They said many things to the NW people like, "Hey, you're not NW anymore, this is DL so get used to it," and then they hid it with, "we'll make this the best place for you to work in."

I think the intention of the video is good, and that they took employees from both sides and included them in this video. It would be great if all the employees were so satisfied. Good luck to the new Delta is all I can say. I hope they become the world's premier airline, and I hope that they can convince people to think of Delta when it comes to flying. But I have doubts as to whether they'll be able to accomplish those goals. I'm not sure that bags will soon again become free of charge, and seats on planes should also be free of charge. Meals probably won't come back, but I hope Delta blows me away and proves me wrong.

IS any of the former Western Airlines employees on the site? Maybe we can get a feel for how that merger went? I know any merger is never 100% smooth, but everyone must remember, save jobs, or loose them entirely.

Good Luck to DELTA, and for gosh sakes, put the widget in the right direction on the tail! LOL!

They call it a "global airline."

Oh, the route network is impressive. But there are seven continents on Earth. You need to hit six of them to be truly global. Until DL serves Australia, they are not global. They might have routes around the world, but until every permanently inhabited continent is hit, they are not global.
