I hope this is not a silly Question.
I was reading an other topic, when an other person from Sweden Added a great
link of a good part of Scandinavia with a live radar. http://www.flygradar.nu/karta.php
I thought this was fantastic & was wondering if there was the same for Ireland &
the U.k.
I tried looking on the net, but found nothing.
Any help would be great.
Thanks, val

www.openatc.com that displays aircraft tracks in google earth, amongst others.
A screenshot from a few months ago....
This relies on people having SBS sets that then forward the info to the openatc server, so coverage can be variable. The display, for obvious security reasons, is delayed about 10 minutes so if you see a plane displayed over your bit of the world it's already gone past.
Most aircraft have their HEX number shown, e.g. below, and you can google out the registrations
The code for this, 4B18AE, corresponds to HB-JJA, a BBJ.

is there anything like this in the pipeline?

Not sure what it is with the UK authorities, but they dont seem to be helpful when it comes to allowing flight tracking of commercial flights in UK airspace on the flight trackers.
All the necessary tools for tracking airline flights in UK airspace is available, but its very restricted on who can view it at the moment. Up until the beginning of this year i could watch most airline flights into and out of LHR on the fboweb flight tracker which has a 5 mins security delay, but no more since fboweb remodeled the quick track flight tracker.
Previously i was able to view flights dep/arr LHR by putting a flight number into the quick track of a flight that had arrived at LHR lets say VIR201. Then where it says track flight in google earth you click that icon and bingo you get the earth and then zoom in on the UK. You would see the VIR200 flight at LHR, and the beauty is any flight within 50 miles of the VIR200 on the ground at LHR would appear on the google earth radar. So i was able to watch flight departing/arriving LHR as well as the high level traffic passing over LHR.
At the moment the FAA are only allowed to distribute the UK data from the flight data feed to Air Carriers or owners of aircraft in Europe who pay landing and atc fees.
It would be great if the UK authorities allowed the flight tracking companys to distribute the UK data from the FAA flight data feeds so that the civil aircraft enthusiast can track airline flights in UK airspace again.
As it is, unless you have a SBS-1 or Radarbox, tracking airline flights in UK airspace is difficult.

The Danish radar is great!
Anyone know of live ATC feeds for Denmark or Kastrup Airport. Liveatc.net has Swedish control that catches some Copenhagen traffic but it would be great to hear stuff over CPH while observing the above radar images.
The European version gives some coverage of UK traffic especially overhead and into LHR/LGW/STN/LTN/BHX AND MAN oh and US coverage thrown in !
Many airfield beacons are marked but due to British Secrecy concerns no UK Mil shown ever and does have that 5/8 minute security delay !
This software (Windows only but does run in parallels or fusion on an Intel Mac as well!) allows FREE viewing for limited number of hours per month( About 2 1/2 days) then quits until next month.
The unlimited paid version is VERY expensive however !
Some traffic still missed so not 100% but best on offer.
