Using Seat Counter

Can anyone tell me howw the seat counter works? i rather use frist, business and economy classes, not more compacted ones so I can understand better and are there another website showing like this?

can anyone tell me how many seats left on these flights that I am booked on:

Sunday 21st Dec '08

SYD - LAX on QF 149

Wed 14th Jan '09

LAX - SYD on QF 12 (It was supposed to be on A380 but they changed it to B747-400)
