Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have pictures of JetBlue's new interior on their A320 aircraft? How many of these aircraft have been reconfigured? Also, have any aircraft other than the original A320 been fitted with Wi-Fi?
Thanks!
Soxfan

I'm not sure how many aircraft are scheduled to get the new Wi-Fi or when, but I know that all aircraft delivered since tail N703JB are fitted with the new Airbus interiors/slimline seats. The major cosmetic differences are the seats (greater pitch/new look), new passenger service units, new sidewalls (looks kind of like the E190 paneling), and larger overhead bins. Pretty nice, IMO. So far, the tails I've noticed (and sometimes worked on) are: 703, 705, 706, 709 (all 'superdots' tails), 711, 713, 715, 716, 746, and 760 ('mosaic' tails). There may be others, but I'm not too sure.

As I understand it, B6 skipped from the 600s to the 700s to delineate ac with new interiors, seat pitches and pricing structures (extra legroom). All ac with 700+ reg should be the upgraded cabin arrangements.

Thanks for the information! Are they dedicated to specific routes or do they jump all over the system? I'm flying BOS-PBI in January and am wondering about my chances (I think I've only been on 5--JB planes so far.

All of B6's 320s are dispersed throughout their route network. You might find a new 320 as far south as SXM (and soon BOG), as far north as BTV and PWM, and as far west as SEA, LGB, or SAN. As far as the cabin configuration is concerned, all of their 320s are equipped with the same legroom structure to accomodate the EML (Even More Legroom) seats, whether it's tail 503 or 760. The differences inside, however pleasing, are mainly cosmetic to the customer.
Airbus has made numerous small changes within the cabins of their aircraft throughout their years of production, and B6's models show a fair amount of the change. Tails 503 through 529 have older-style exit lights, whereas all tails after that have the current LED lighting. B6 retrofitted all of their older 320s with the more 'bulbous' overhead bins to accomodate larger carry-on items (as opposed to the flatter ones seen on many of US's busses). Tails 618 through 665 have modified OHBs with newer handles (curved). Tails 700+ have larger OHBs and LED lighting throughout (even the passenger reading lights), creating a softer, yet clearer lighting effect - not to mention the new-style seats with better recline. However, I understand that these changes are now standard on all busses manufactured/delivered from 2008 onward.
Chances are, you may be flying on a newer-build 320 (it seems that I've been working a lot of those lately). Be sure to check the tail number, as we've recycled the tail designs to throw off the 'age-seekers' . And have a great flight!

Great info, thanks. What's the latest on wi-fi, is BetaBlue catching on?

All 700 will not be upgrade... but as they come out from Airbus they are already configure with the new 4-flights seats and the 6.4 Video Display Unit (VDU)...
