Just a reminder to all those in London that the inaugural Emirates A380 flight is scheduled to arrive at 11:35 on 01Dec replacing the daily 77W on EK001/2 rotation. After a quick'ish turnaround the flight is scheduled to depart at 13:45.

Although all 3 aircraft will be on the ground in LHR at different times. There may be a chance of a double in LHR during January when EK operate double daily A380 (only for the month of January) when EK003/4 gets upgraded and will be on the ground at the same time as the SQ318/321 rotation. I believe there have been some double ups in SYD with SQ and QF both on ground at the same time.
Not sure which aircraft will be operating the inaugural with A6-EDA/B/C now received from Airbus.

D@mn, I wish I'd read this earlier! My cousin's flying in from DXB today, although I'm not sure if she's flying EK or BA as she's connecting to a BA flight to Abuja. Would have been great to have seen the EK A380 arrive for the first time, especially if my cousin was on it! I'm expecting her to call at some point as she has a 7 hour layover, guess I'll find out then...
Update - just checked on BA.com and her flight to ABV departs at 22:15, so I'm guessing she would have arrived later than 11:35. Shame - flying on the first EK A380 into LHR really wouldn't have held any interest for her, but she might have got some interesting souvenirs that she could have passed on to her little cousin!
Ladies & gentlemen this is Captain Tobias Wilcock welcoming you aboard Coconut Airways flight 372 to Bridgetown Barb

Caught sight of her very briefly this morning - very nice.
Is it me or are the GP powered birds even quieter than the Rollers on the SQ ones?
What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

Last I saw an Emirates 380 was in Dubai as she was overflying the QE2 when the Queen of the Seas arrived at her final destination and we were gone out at sea on a chartered yacht to welcome her.
Are there 2 EK 380s now? I don't see how they could do all these flights to different places with only one frame.
There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde
Quote: Emirates has commenced Airbus A380 services on the Dubai-London Heathrow route today, with the first flight conducted with the carrier's third example of the type.
