Also, do you know why flight 1842 today (Sat 24) is running so late? It is the "return" of flight 1842 las t night. Do you know if it was also some maintenance related thing or is it due to the runway closure at MEX?

CO1842 had maintenace issues of some sort. Being some of the oldest aircraft in CO's fleet, MD80's (and DC-10's) are much more prone to mechanical ills then other aircraft types. This week seems to have not been a good one for the -80's.

I have flown all types on CO and COExpress' fleet in the last 14 years except for the ERJ135 and the 764, and never had a canceled flight until last December, when my IAH-MEX flight was canceled, precisely flight 1843! That is what caught my attention this time. (It was also an MD-80, by the way).
Anyway, I hope CO soon starts flying 73G's or 738's or bigger from IAH into MEX regularly, since all we get from IAH are MD-80's or 733, which are not as nice as the newer types inside.
