I was wondering, what are Etihad and Qatar Airways future A380s routes? I have a feeling LHR maybe one, but could IAD or JFK be another?

For QR its LHR only 100% confirmed for the time being...that A 380 might extend to an Indian route to feed the LHR flight such as BOM or DEL if the Indian Govt allows it.

Obviously both EK and QR would fly the A 380 to JED too during the extreme peak Umrah and HAJJ dates to cater for high volume demand.

LHR and QR has expressed the desire to operate the A380 to BOM. The only route I can think other than these 2 is IAD. Not because of exceptional performance, but more so to prevent any ME carrier to expand in the near future.

As far as EY goes, it will probably send it to JFK,LHR,SYD typically where EK is sending it.

EY is going to for sure go exactly what EK will do i.e. use a same plane A 380 to fly LHR-UAE-SYD to compete effectively against each other and against TG / SQ / QF / BA.

In light of recent events they might prefer leaving them in Toulouse.

Why does EY do that !? I understand they want to catch up to EK, but why don't they research and open their own routes, instead of following what EK does ??

Thanks.
