Looks like National Geographic Channel, live tv, I don't think the airliners can immediately sensor the live tv like that, but from the video it looks like the 2002 Mid-Air Collision - Bashkirian Airlines Tu-154 and a DHL B757, re-enactment from the National Geographic Crash Detective series. Anyone other than Jetblue have live tv? if not, then it was just an episode that happened to play at that time on live tv, hope it didn't scare anyone. Anyone have any other ideas?

Quoting Gulfstream650 (Thread starter): I would have assumed that airlines would ensure that movies with scenes like the one below are never shown on flights.
Who cares?
That's a scene from "Air Disaster" on NatGeo. JetBlue's LiveTV service carries NatGeo, and JetBlue has a "no censorship" policy.
Airlines can censor the live programming if they choose (not sure what the other airlines do) but JetBlue - thankfully - doesn't feel like telling people what is okay to watch.

I also know that at United on our new IPTE equipped aircraft, you can plug your IPOD into the system from your seat and watch whatever movie you have downloaded on the bigger seat screen. Personally I haven't done it yet, but those that have say it's great, i just can't wait to hear all the complaints when someone watches their adult materials on it. And don't ask me how it's done, I don't have a clue, but there is a usb port in the seat and instructions provided somewhere.

PAX that dont love aviation as much as we do. Pax that maybe are quite scared to fly.
Believe me, there are many that cares.
Change the channel.
You are not being forced to watch anything.
I agree that when a film is shown on overhead screens, censorship makes sense, and airlines do censor out sensitive material for overhead films, such as removing the entire airplane turbulence sequence from "Almost Famous."
