Missed a flight so he chartered one from the Virgin Islands to SJU, but unfortunately never made it past the mountains:

The twin-engine plane slammed into fog-shrouded El Yunque Mountain about 13 miles east of San Juan.

The rough terrain in the national forest and bad weather prevented rescuers from reaching the site immediately after the crash.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation, said Karilyn Bonilla, director of Puerto Rico's office of emergency management.
