Gentlemen & ladies...
I have a few questions regarding the 777. I know that United was the launch customer & also took the first delivery of the -200 series. But what carrier launched & tooked first delivery of the -300 series?? Also, what happened to the -100 series?? And was it, on paper, has a shorter fuselage?? And lastly, what is the cabin width?? Wider or narrower than the 747?? I apologize for being a pest, but I'm curious as hell!  Wink/being sarcastic Thanks folks. Regards. P.S. I haven't flown this aircraft yet, but someday hopefully.....

I believe it was either Cathay Pacific or Korean Airlines that received the first 777-300 model.

There are no 777-100s out there. The 777 was launched as a -200 version, and it won't make sense now to shrink a 777 to a -100. What's the point? They would be in 767 territory,

I believe the -300 series was launched by a combination of asian airlines. Korean, Thia, and a couple others. I believe Cathay indeed got the first one.

The -100 was pretty much extinct by the technological advancements of the -200LR. It could so the same things as the -100, but carry more pasengers.

The fuselage width is just slightly smaller than the 747, by a matter of a couple inches.

Regards!

Correct. Cathay was the first customer to receive the B777-300. British Airways was the first customer to receive the B777-200IGW which has been redesignated as the -200ER.

There is no -100 series, the average economy class seating of the 777 is 2x5x2, this is narrower than the 747.
