Howdy from the land of the frozen.

I've recently booked a friend on Continental from Newark to CDG in May.
Right now, they are running a 772, 752, and 762 on the route. Surely they won't keep three frequencies after they leave Sky Team? The May schedule shows a 764, 752, and 762.

So does anybody care to hazard a guess as to what flights will actually be operated in May and June, and on what equipment?

I'm hoping the flight is back to a 777, but my luck, my friend will be stuck on a 757 across the 'Pond!! Which would be fine with me, but not for them!

come May we will still be in Sky TEAM, so all 3 flights will still be there.

They're not in OneWorld either but it doesn't stop them from running twice daily EWR-MAD, EWR-CDG will most likely remain three daily. The Summer '09 schedule shows 3 daily EWR-CDG (2 757, 1 777).

I doubt they will stay at 3 daily for CDG. I bet they will drop one 752 flight

CO will still be in Skyteam for summer 2009. They will probably move to *A for the winter season (end october)

....on smaller 752 aircraft that they wouldn't be using if they had a spare 767 to use.

Where is this schedule? Online they are showing a 764 and two 752s for May, and the same for June.
I'd love her to fly in a 777, that's kinda what I'm hoping for.

They have been flying 1 767-200 and 1 757-200 on EWR-MAD the last couple of Summers, Summer '09 is no different it's scheduled for two daily (757, 767-200).

As for EWR-CDG your right they recently changed it to 2 757s and 1 767-400, CO's decision to defer the two 777-200ERs for '09 means they have to juggle a couple of routes to be able to launch Shanghai in March.

IAH-CDG converts to a 764, which frees up a 772 to operate IAH-AMS, which adds capacity to that route, which frees up the 762 which will operate IAH-FRA.
