I disagree - this is far more stunning and impressive than the blander, less striking NW livery. This could be one of the most beautiful 744s flying! I hope to see it in MSP soon!
Quoting Mptpa (Reply 3): Looks great..... It has been a long time since a B747 wore DL outfit.... Can't wait to take a flight... will this have any new DL interior?
I don't believe so, but hey, we can hope!

would love to see the interior re-done but I suspect that is further in the future when DL figures out what to do with them.
but maybe they at least re-covered the seats in the DL blue leather? One can hope (tho I'm not a fan of the blue leather for comfort, they do look much nicer and uniform)

Slide 16 of the Delta Investor Day presentation (and the narrative that goes with it) indicates that the NW interiors will be standardized to the DL standard as soon as practical. Also the 757 cockpits will be standardized to the Delta standard.

The 747-400 looks absolutely stunning in DL's current livery. I know that this view comes with the cost of NW being taken over but she is a looker to say the least.
One coud only dream of what the 747-8I would look like!

And with the exception of the A330's, that's a pretty high increase in standard, particularly in the Y cabin. Most of NW's Y cabins are in dire need of some TLC.
BTW...great 744 pics...can't wait to see her take to the skies.
UA's 744 Y-class seat is more comfortable than DL's new 77L Y-class seat.

Yay I will try to get the next big one!!! Yeah I could actually see them pulling it out on Friday night so that it could depart early Saturday so that there would be a limited opportunity for photo's!! Those pics came from an internal memo?? If they did I'm gonna have to ask my uncle to send me them too, he's a 77L Captain.
What I cannot really wait for is a model airplane of the first 747 and DC-9 painted in the new colors.
