Hello. I was wondering the other day if LH will send their A300-600 to ARN during the Christmas and New Year holiday, i flew on a LH A300 from FRA to ARN on the 14th January 2007. Did they send it last year too, or was it just a one-off occasion?

Didn't they decide to park those and not use them again...?

No, they parked a couple, not the entire fleet. I hope they don't park more, I'm booked a flight to ATH in March, and timed it to fly the a306. They better not change equipment!  box

only a handful continental destinations are flown with the glorious A300-600 right now as most of them are parked over the winter. ARN will only see this bird if the booking numbers are high.
nevertheless they're doing a lot of TXL-MUC-HAM returns.

I thought a couple had been PWFU, and a further handful of A300's temporarily grounded for the winter season to save cycles?

Well, nevertheless, I have to say I'm really happy to see one of those on domestic or short-haul flights. always better than a narrow body.
Maybe it's just me, but flying a narrow bodied aircraft takes so much out of the flight experience.

ATH should still be seeing at least 1 daily A306 flight, the LH3384. This can also bee downgraded from time to time.

Zanair flight, please hold on finals as we have to clear rhino's off the runway. Next flight KUL-FRA-AMS Flown in A319,A

not really, but ATH see more A306s than any other European destination in their network. for example for the next three days we only have 321s on all three daily flights. on the other hand next friday two 306s are scheduled to ATH (3380 & 3384).

I booked 3380 and 3381. Both are currently scheduled as a306. I guess I'll wait and see!  pray

It will be really sad to not see any A300s in ARN anymore, even though the aircraft is really old. I got the pleasure to fly on one of LHs A300s from FRA to ARN back in 2004.

True, this is the LH3188.
Also IST should be seeing the LH3344 as a A306 for the winter period as always.

I guess so. After all, December 23rd is the day when the most people travel to see their relatives and friends for christmas.
