I just heard on the news that an AirTran DC-9 was on it's way to Orlando, but had smoke in the cabin or cockpit and had to return to ATL. Nobody was hurt, and the pax got out of the aircraft by a hydraulic lift.

I just happen to notice that all the major channels with news. (ABC, CNN, NBC and so on) carried this coverage. They had a helicopter flying over the jet hoping for, i guess this huge fire ball or something. I am very greatful that nothing happened. But i do think the news channel were concentrating on this subject so much maybe because of Valujets previous problems, (which bought airtran and kept the name). Also maybe they were covering this because of the recent plane crash in Buenos Aires. I maybe blowing this out of proportion, maybe they were showing so much because im close to Atlanta, i live in Alabama
