Hello all Narita and Hong Kong Spotters. Northwest's DL colored 744 is coming your way.

It is operating as NW 11 departing DTW today (15th December) and will arrive NRT tomorrow at 4:19pm (16th of December) then depart for HKG at 6:00pm) It will depart HKG at 8:00am on the 17th of December, and then will fly to LAX on the 17th. Then depart LAX on the 17th for NRT.

There you have it for now, i will keep updating for a bit closer to departure dates to make sure the ship numbers will match.

I wonder how many uninformed pax will think they are at the wrong gate when they see this DL 744. I am sure many of us will still do a double take!

Thanks for the info!

Damn! Can't make it. Hopefully someone we'll get some good pictures. Typically, does the HKG flight arrive on 24R or 25L?

Was working UA 838 from NRT-SFO last night and spotted the a/c preparing for take off. It was nice to see a 747-400 with Delta colors.

that had to create a stir.

I am waiting to see some 330s in DL colors. I'm sure we will see a good chunk of the 744 and 330 fleet in DL colors by summer.

Great video! Thanks for posting the link. I must say, it still feels surreal to see a 744 in DL colors.
