HI all:

I was just driving by the Centurion Cargo ramp area in MIA. And I saw a weird looking MD-11, I got closer to get the tail number and it was an ex Gemini MD-11 tail N701GC. Centurion has new colors. A mix of orange stripping and yellow with bolder titles across the fuselage.

Sorry but I didn't have a camera with me. Will go back out to the ramp in a while and I will take a couple of pics.

I wonder if they only got one or they got all of the ex Gemini MD-11's.

Regards,

They're only getting one, we (World Airways) got the other three, and they are pieces of shit. The ball mats are worn out as all hell and difficult to position freight on. The only good thing is that they are double locked, so no more lock conversions from commercial to military, only removal of the rails.

Nice Trip Report!!! Great Pics, thanks for posting!!!! B747Forever

They were picked up really fast then. When we used to charter the DC-10's, like you said the ball mats were worn out and were a pain in the butt to position the pallets past the door. I am glad they were picked up instead of getting sunburned in the desert.

Does anyone know which ex-Gemini MD-11s WO is getting as I saw one depart from Evergreen's facility in TPE last month? It only had "WORLD" titles, no logo on the tail and was ex-Gemini. Another MD-11 was in the hangar.

Dualrated,
I was thinking the exact same thing! Some logos just get rebranded over time.
