US/European Airline Alliance

If you were one of the major US airlines, what airline would you choose for your "perfect" European alliance partner. Based on hub airport, route network, service, etc. All European airlines are open, even the ones that are "taken" in "real life".

I would probably choose BA because they have one of the biggest route networks, or Swissair because they have exceptional service.

What are your thoughts?

BA....no one has such a good hub location as LHR/LGW!
