Henkybaby started a topic on this in June 2008 but it has now been archived.
The oneworld alliance has launched an online tool for planning round-the-world travel and also booking the itinerary online. Previously it was possible to put together an itinerary but you had to print it out and take it to a travel agent.
The tool can be found on the site www.oneworld.com and will be implemented on the individual sites of the alliance carriers.

Quoting Sbworcs (Reply 1): I can fly Qantas 747-400 between LAX and JFK - i did not think that was possible? Any ideas?
You can, but it has to be apart of the itinerary to/from LAX. You must be connecting at LAX and can't use it for a domestic hop between the 2. So if you start out in NY, you would connect at LAX to SYD or BNE and so fourth. You can stay on QF through LAX if you are planning on going to NYC as long as you stay on the flight from Australia. I believe it has to be same day as well, someone might have more info
