Over behind the DCCU is the old DT building(the tailest building in the area). I drove by tonight and saw lights on in the building what i thought i saw a few cars back behind the building. I know they haven't been useing it for a while but my point is what is going on with it? Is still part of Delta? If so why is DL saving it?

yep.

Is that the building to the left of the flight control/simulator building?

My understanding was that with Delta folding DT back into the parent company (DT used to be a wholly-owned Delta subsidiary) and moving all of the DT employees back to the GO campus, their old building would become surplus and would eventually be sold or leased to a 3rd party.

Ok.

It went by and it was the first time in a long time i have seen lights on inside. I wasn't sure if DL will need to use it for the merger or not.

Not 100% sure.
Its the tailest building around and one street behind DCCU. (and to the right)

yep.

You are 16-20, right? What in the world compels you to frequently drive by DL's HQ enough to even notice such an obscure detail, especially on a Friday night?  confused

Well, from my recollections, the DCCU was on the same side as the G.O. buidling along with the hangar with the museum. Across the street from that, just inside the gate, was the flight control/sim building and next to that was the IT building. Things may have been shuffled around since then. That's at least 17 years ago.

The DCCU is on the other side of Virgina ave across from the G.O. buildings, only reason I know that is I used to live in ATL and UAs CU has some sort of agreement with DLs CU to use their ATMs in ATL...

Ok...that's a different IT building than I remember. The one you're talking about is north of Virginia avenue. The one I'm talking about is south of Virginia ave., inside the gate, about across from hangar 1 or 2.

What difference does that make?? He is an aviation buff like all of us on this site. He should not need to explain himslef at all. As long as he did not break any laws why should we care. I for one own stock in a few oil companies and I prefer people driving around sightseeing.  Wink

I personally give him kudos L1011 man seems quite versed and knowledgeable about the subject.

Ok I am finished rant is over.
