Well as we all get caught up in our own frenzied lives during the holiday season, once in a while it is nice to come across some good stories during the holiday season.

Following please find a link to news story from the local NBC affiliate in Miami, FL reporting on a "Holiday Humanitarian Flight" American Airlines employees did to the devastated country of Haiti. A country who unfortunately is dealt with so much despair and a country that American Airlines has been serving for some quite sometime.

I am assuming AA flew either an A300-600 or 777-200 for this flight per the seating configuration listed on the news report.

It was an A300. I am proud to say AA donated the plane and the fuel and the crew donated their time.

Quite a few employees volunteered to go and help unload and distribute the aid, but the Haitian government said they were not welcome. They could show up at MIA in the morning to help load the plane, but they could not fly to PAP and take part in the excitement... Nice.
