Any News About RAK Airways?

I read in a French forum that RAK Airways ( Ras Al Khaima, UAE ) are having difficulties . Can someone from the UAE elaborate on this . I have not read that they had difficulties in other media.Thanks in advance for any news about them

A couple of years back I had heard that they were to start services to India. Haven't heard of them since. Thier site http://www.rakairways.com isn;t very helpful either. I beleive they had placed a small order for B737s. Don't know the status of that. Considering their small size and that it is backed by the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, I don't think they will have any financial difficulties. I can be wrong though.

They were lined up by United Travel in Ireland to operate flights from DUB last Summer...never happened. If I remember correctly it was due to lack of available aircraft.

Haven't we been here before ?
