The Aeroflot 777 landed at SFO at 2:42 PM local time and is taxiing to Gate G95.
She's a beauty!
Unfortunately, I'm at work and had to watch the landing from the ramp just off Gate 47, so I couldn't read the reg. number. I'll go over to International to get a closer look so I can tell which of their two 777s they sent.

It's VP-BAS.
I will try to get some pictures of it on Wednesday or Friday, when it comes back to SFO.

Well, it's M-W-F, 1 stop 777 service through SEA. I heard it might go nonstop but haven't been able to confirm this.
You can pretty much do whatever you want around here when it's as slow as it's been lately. We have internet access from our terminals, so this is one of the ways I pass the time when there isn't other work to be done around the ticket counter.

Hello folks,
I got back a couple of hours ago from some golf at Mariner's Point. Whoever is not familiar with the area, this very man-made course runs right under the approach path next to the San Mateo bridge. Some very great spotting is to be had.
Anyhoo, I saw this SU 777 come in between 3:00 - 3:30, and honest to goodness my first reaction was, "OMG! Delta actually decided to bring its 777 to SFO!! Maybe Pat was right about that transcon!"
Until, of course, I focused on the tail a bit more-- it looked similar to Delta's Wavy Gravy. However, there was a cheatline-- and it looked remarkably similar to DL's old new cheatline. Yet-- I remembered: the Wavy Gravy scheme has no cheatline! So, by the power of deduction (and a little recognition of the more 'spotty' Aeroflot tail) I figured that, alas, it was our Russian friends.
So-- for those who complain about the new DL feuselage being all white; it would look even more similar to DeltaFlot if they had kept a cheatline!
BTW, I played a horrendous round o golf: 40 on a 9-hole! Bollocks!

Last week saw an Aeroflot 763 taxiing for T/O at SFO while coming in from LAX. It was in the old colors and by far the coolest looking plane at SFO that day.

How could Il86 fly to SFO Superfly? Their range is almost the same as a 737.
