While traveling through LHR T-2 on an LX flight the other day I noticed that there are two segregated check-in areas off to the sides of the main hall. I bel;eive one is called "Check-In Area X" and the other "Check-In Area 75-76". To access both you have to go through hallways. Check In Area 75-76 is fronted with a baggage x-ray machine.

Does anyone know what these seperate check-in areas are used for? I assumed, at first, that they were used for perhaps security sensitive reasons, but on looking at the list of carriers at T-2, it seems none would really require any special handling.
