American Eagle is growing very fast here @ CMH, operating 26 daily (I think) departures here. New service to JFK and DCA have been added in the past year.
My question: Is American Eagle interested in CMH enough to keep adding flights?

I don't know about adding flights to CMH, but American Eagle does operate a ERJ maintainence base there.
America West and US Airways already serve some of these routes (not JFK) so I found it surprising that AAE would add these flights. But it is a good thing.
My question is: Will America West or Southwest add more service to CMH?
(I heard an agreement w/Chataqua will add Amwest RJ flights and WN is starting BWI service.)

HP probably will because Chautauqua is basing 12 RJs here at CMH. Yes, WN added BWI and PHX.

I have a friend who flies for Eagle and he said that they are thinking about opening CMH has a pilot domicile, since they have a maint facility there. Kinda like Mesaba and CVG. This shows commitment to CMH to me!

CMH is going to expand alot within the next few years. Adding on a new terminal along International Gateway Drive, expanding concourse C, making a new control tower, and extending the north runway. So I guess that when that happens, mostly all of the airlines will be expanding their service from CMH (I'm sure that America West most definately will expand since CMH is their 3rd largest hub (after Pheonix and Las Vegas)).

Southwest has been running ads in the Washington Post this week announcing new service from Baltimore to Columbus, starting April 1.

America West, who did you hear from that they were extending the north runway? How long will it be? I didn't see that in the master plan, all the master plan said was a new south parallel @ 10,250ft., and a new north parallel.

I don't think Columbus will see much in the way of new cities to be served by American Eagle. With service to east coast cities such as BOS, LGA, JFK, and DCA, as well as to their hubs in ORD and MIA, American has most of the top cities from Columbus pretty well covered. It would be nice to see AE's MIA and JFK service upgraded from seasonal to year round though. Also, American Airlines is adding mainline service to DFW this summer with a 5th daily MD-80 flight.

Two thinks,
1. I don't know AE's future plans for CMH but it's or maintenace base for our RJ's. More service on current routes, yeah. A base nope, AE is sticking with it current base line up (jfk/lga, bos, mia, dfw, ord, lax, sju).
2. Just for those who will like to know JFK-CLE is mostly going to Saabs (we just got our bid packets not to long ago and CLE flight were on there) Block time (for those who know what that means) is 2:20. Ought to be a fun flight........Yeah right 2+ hours on a Saab. People out there Write AE tell them you want more RJs on long hauls.
