Quoting DELTA7478 (Reply 4): The Delta Color plane hence "Delta" 747-400
Well - since Northwest is owned by Delta it could very well be a "Delta" 747-400 in Northwest colors, Webster.

Hi DELTA7478, welcome to Anet!
If I still lived in DAB, I'd probably drive up to see it. However from MCO it's double the drive time, so I'll just look at the pics.

Goodness, I hope so. That particular aircraft (665) is ratted out. Flew on her DTW-AMS in August... not a pleasant experience, as I have ranted about before.

When tomorrow's flights actually load on flightaware, it will switch to the 744. If you go to nwa.com under flight and gate status and enter flight 9974 for 12/26, it will show as a 744.

Just to be clear, the plane is operated by Northwest crews, and while it might be in Delta colors....it is still Northwest. It will still be NW until the operating certificates are merged

I guess the other way to title this thread would be "Delta 747-400 in LNK on Friday". I may just call in sick and go see it!

Northwest is owned by Delta even if they are under two separate certificates. We all know that they are still operating as a separate airline. the point is delta color 747 is supposed to be in JAX friday afternoon, not who operates what.

It would seem that DL management is wrong. 6313, still very Northwest, will be making the trip down to JAX today.

I don't know how you plan to see it considering it's over in Asia. Have fun in JAX though!
25 71Zulu: Well that's a bummer. It did seem a bit odd to send 6305 on a football charter but thought since JAX is a heavy DL city, maybe they wanted to show it
26 Crownvic: the aircraft in question has ferried down here for a short 33minute flight to Orlando MCO...It will stay here overnight and return to Wisconsin tomorr
27 Dennys: Glad to see a 744 on domestic US flight !!! ans especially this so good looking delta onle . dennys
29 Pilotboi: Know what time it's leaving? THAT I'd like to see.
30 71Zulu: Scheduled to depart at 1:00pm Sunday back to MSN. There were actually two 747-400s that went MSN-MCO, not sure when the other one will go back or if t
