I once heard that KIX(osaka kansai ) will have expansion and build one more runway.

But, it seems that it is impossible as airlines serve less there. Is that the project of expansion is dead?

So called '2nd phase' expansion including 2nd parallel runway of 13,200ft length and satellite passenger terminal is underway. I really doubt it would be successful but it works!! By masterplan from KIAC, upon completion, KIX has 3 runways (one more thing is crossed by about 40 degree with existing parallel runways.) and capacity to handle 40 million passenger a year. It's quite smaller than most of other regional international airports like ICN, PVD and CLK. (Although HKG is its identification code, CLK is much more convinient  Smile)

In one sentence: Not dead.
