Looks like today was the last day of it. DAL0961 goes to 764ER tomorrow and looks like it stays that way for a while.
I'd say its due to the holidays, but thats a guess.

yep.

Probably due to a 764 going down for maint.

The 772 is actually a downgrade in number of seats if the 764 is a domestic configured bird.

764 - 287 pax
772 - 268 pax
77L or new 772 config - 276 pax

Damnit why wasn't this reported BEFORE they came? Oh well, at least BA still brings their 777 here.

Could also be that there has been a decrease in the number of international flts the past week due to the holidays and so there may be a 772 spare sitting in ATL.

IIRC, a DL 777 was a regular at MCO in the past, when did that end? Did it not replace the MD11 that was being sent there?

When was Delta bringing in the 777s this afternoon. I went spotting for Runway 17L approaches Saturday since DLH 464 came in during the daylight with the A340-600

Since they found better ways to utilize their T7s. Remember, for years Delta operated a rather tiny fleet of only 8 birds up until recently when they began aquisition of the LR. Before that, they began to redeploy their T7s and some where pulled from shorter TATL hops (CDG/FRA, etc).

I think it was around the end of 2005 we lost the DL 777? I flew on it one night to ATL with less than 30 pax on board. Great flight Big grin

Wasn't aware of that either. I actually never saw the T7 in any other FL city other than MCO. However, I could be wong; I don't have first hand knowledge.

I used to love to non-rev on the T7's that went from ATL-JFK via MCO and catch another T7 from JFK-ATL via MCO. Those loads between MCO and JFK were sweet. Business Eliete all day long!
