And for those who care (Warning: lame story follows, only read if you're bored): I just spent 30 minutes solving a confusing mystery. While comparing the Anet lists to my own, I found a few discrepancies that didn't make sense. First I came across N918CA, listed on here as a repainted Comair CR9. Realizing that there was no such aircraft, I went back to find out who added it and why. After going all the way back to the March 2008 list, I found out it was ME who suggested to add it to the list. However I stated that it was a CRJ-200 (which is correct). Then the person who actually added it to the list put it in the wrong section. It has stayed this way for 9 months! So now I'm trying to figure out why my Comair CRJ-200 lists don't match up. I come to find that N818CA was added to the list back in July. This was a typo by the person adding it and THIS was supposed to be N918CA. So to conclude this is what needs to be corrected:
Remove: N918CA from the Comair CRJ-900 list.
Change: N818CA to N918CA on the Comair CRJ-200 list.

So, when can we expect to see the SkyTeam livery 764ER? I know that the seven remaining domestic 764ERs will soon be converted to international and will be getting AVOD and the new Thompson Vantage suites in J. Perhaps the new SkyTeam livery will be introduced on the first to get the new interior.

Is this a/c being permanently WFU? If not, shouldn't it remain on the list? Just wondering.
Also, is it simply coincidence that the MD-88s from N908DE to N916DE (inclusive) have been repainted (AFAIK in reg. sequence), or is DL actually working through them in numerical order??

136 I think was brought back for the holidays. So its "permanance" in the desert - who knows.

I could be wrong, but those are Delta Shuttle MD-88's IIRC. They must be painting all of them at once.
Right now there is an AA MD-80 flying over my house.

134 actually, not 136. And yes it was sent to storage last year, brought back for the holidays, and will be sent back on Jan 5.
But Argonaut, you are right, it''s just going to storage for an uncertain amount of time. Could be a few months, could be forever. But it's not in going to be in service for a while, that's for sure. It your guys list, not mine, so you can make the decision if it stays or not. On my list, I keep them off to the side, as they're not part of the flying/in-service fleet.

Yes, those were all the a/c in the old shuttle config with shuttle titles on them. Since they were doing away with the shuttle-only config, they needed to get rid of the titles on the a/c too, so they were repainted quickly. No shuttle-specific aircraft exist anymore. Regular 88s and E-175s are being used.

They've also got ship numbers in the 9xxx series as opposed to the 9xx series used on the "normal" Mad Dogs.

True, but not all the ex-"normal" were 9xx. 9000-9007 and 9017-9020 were never in shuttle config. Only 9008-9016 were. The thousands doesn't indicate anything in particular. They just ran out of hundreds.

Would it be better to create a website with this list, then post the changes here on a.net when you update the site?
I just tried reading through this and it seemed like a really hard read (in list format). I would think a table on a website would be much easier to digest.
In any case, it is interesting reading...especially now with the NW planes being added to the list.

Sure - just list every NW aircraft except for the 4 in new colors. Visit my site for a list of all the aircraft.
Ohhhhh - wait a minute, you meant going to be painted NEXT? Oh well that I have no idea.

Pardon my ingnorace, but I didn't know DL was doing away with Delta Shuttle. Is it just that business travelers like having the optional F class also?

I'll pardon it this time - but next time is a different story. They aren't doing away with the service. They are just getting rid of the configuration. Now the standard MD-88 config will serve shuttle routes. Also, E-175s will be added to the mix (via Shuttle America). But the once-an-hour schedule plus all free amenities are still there.
