There is a newsreel at skyliner-aviation.de stating that AtlasJet will return all three CRJ900 to manufacturer, but I am unable to find more info.

Is it financial woes or technical issues? My impression was that AtlasJet found the CRJ900s to be very good and economical aircraft, and that they were even considering the CRJ1000.

They have already returned the aircraft, all three of them are in Canada.

Thanks.

Will these aircraft be interesting to MyAir or Air One or Pluna, which also operate 90-seat CRJ900s? Must be a great way to expand without too much effort...

I agree that MyAir and Air One would probably be candidates for the ex-AtlasJet CRJ900's. PLUNA recently announced that they would not be exercising any of the 8 options they hold for at least a year.

Plus these are not the CRJ900NextGen models, so that may limit possible owners.

Would Lufthansa CityLine be looking at additional lift? Arik Air currently have 4 and they seem to be expanding very quickly, I could see them ordering more.

Or possibly Macedonian Airlines or Sevenair of Tunisia might want to expand the model as each of these airlines only operates one CRJ900 at the present time.

Cheers,
CRJ900X

Nice thought, however all of LH's outstanding CRJ-900 order will go to Eurowings to replace BAe 146.

That is the final decision? Which routes will they fly then, and still with 84 seats?

Yes,crews are already training for -900 conversion.
I guess they will have the same cabin layout as ours and will be operated througout EW's network/codeshare flights. As it looks right now CLH will be operating up to 20 E190/195 for replacement of CRJ-200 and RJ85's.
