Can anyone tell me who flew into St. Lucia in Feb 1972 ( Pan am OR Eastern Airlines)?
We flew from New York into I believe either Martinique or Dominica then flew a turboprop into St Lucia. Can anyone clarify my memory with the airlines involved.
Thanks and Happy New Years
Illya

I flew there in the mid-seventies on an Eastern 727 out of San Juan. It operated like 3 times per week and may have had an intermediate stop. It did not land at the downtown airport but required a long taxi ride to the tourist beaches.

Pan Am flew nonstop to St Lucia (SLU) from JFK and/or MIA. Most intra Caribbean flights were operated by Leeward Islands Air Transport (LIAT) at that time.

Anybody find a timetable showing that?

If you flew JFK-FDF, AF is a possibility-- they probably had the only nonstop. In 1973 PA flew JFK-ANU-FDF.

It was sometime in that era, 1971-1973, that EA started flying to St Lucia, from San Juan.

BWIA may have also flown those same routes too. LIAT flew the DOM-FDF-SLU route.
