I recently ran across an advertisement for cheap flights. I checked out the web sites at www.cheaptrips.com and www.AirCourier.org. They say they offer very cheap flights and the prices they show are very cheap. What I want to know is if these are legit and if they are worth becoming a member of. Thanks for the help.

I heard about courier flights. They sound tempting, but many won't allow you to see the fares until you pay the annual fee upfront. Personally, I'm not going to pay such fee if I'm not absolutely sure that I'll get a steal of a deal.

A friend of mine used to courier a lot. She was from London and living in NYC, and there were a lot of options on that route. Usually it cost her a few bucks for the trips but I recall her flying for free on one occasion.
If you're flexible, live near a big international gateway (e.g., NYC, LAX, MIA, YYZ), and are looking for trips to the "big" overseas spots (e.g., LON, PAR, FRA) you could get some great deals. Otherwise I would guess it's hit or miss.
