What other route does B6 fly from PDX that allows them to swap planes with that kind of schedule?
Also, the SMF turn seems quite late to me. I guess that's better timing for JFK on both ends - less airfield congestion in the later evening, and more gates available at 810 than would be the case with a 600-ish arrival.

LGB. The PDX-JFK plane arrived around 2100 into PDX from LGB.

They will have to upgrade the second LGB-PDX flight to an A320 then. Both LGB-PDX flights are E-190's.

I talked to the PDX jetBlue station manager. The 7:30am PDX-LGB flight is going to be an A320 now. The 5:00PM LGB-PDX flight is also going to be an A320.

So I guess they aren't doing good enough where they could be operated year round? That's too bad, but at least they do well from LGB. BTW have you seen their new route map? It's beautiful. A lot better than the old one where they put BUF in Cleveland.

I just saw the new map a couple of hours ago. Looks nice but requires a bit of effort to see things; however, that seems to be the trend with the new interactive route maps so I'll just have to get used to it. (And you can get all the routes displayed at once but you have to search a bit for it.)

It's horrendous, cluttered, ugly and hard to use, IMO. Terrible job.

I would agree it is cluttered, but it does have some good features. Like how you can click and drag all around the country. They also tell you the distance and flight times between cities.

You think so? I had no problem using it. I've seen some ugly route maps, like the one B6 had before that looked like it was done in MS Paint (and as I said, put BUF in Cleveland). I'm sure we can both agree that it's better than it was. There's always room for improvement, but for an airline route map that's pretty good.

Wow - well I would hate to hear what you think of the Spirit route map. Theirs is a cluttered mess.
