Listening to KRNO from Liveatc.net and heard Alaska flight 634 from Seattle to Phoenix divert to Reno. I am assuming they declared an emergency or a pan because I heard ATC (forget if it was Oakland Center or Reno Approach) asked for fuel and souls.

The 738 made it safely as I heard them hand off to tower and heard tower tell them to contact ground.

Just wondering if anybody had more information... Just curious as to what happened...

Thanks!
Richard

According to a good friend and employee of the airport, it was an indicated decompression:

It was still at the gate when I left after 5:00pm just now and it's flight plan said it was going to leave around then but I didn't see any activity.

Loss of cabin pressure. MX crews and parts were being flown in on QX to fix the A/C and then it was being ferried back to SEA.

It seems that everyone is good. According to the flight log from FlightAware, they descended to 11,000 from 37,000 in about 12 minutes.

The aircraft flew RNO-SEA last night and is back in service this morning.

Hmmmm. It was not a dive situation, which is good! And I am glad to hear everyone is ok!

Thanks for the update!
