GRU was for only a few months in the early/mid 90s with the 747SP. Apparently pretty grim performance.

EZE applied for late 1999 ( OST 99-6210) to commence September 2000 with proposed 777 service. Idea quickly died when Argentina's economy started its meltdown in 2000.

LAX-MEL is supposedly seasonal so it should resume again during peak season next winter.

I'm sure LAX-SJO has been served nonstop, at least a few seasons.

UA also used to operate charter flights to PPT.

UA will again operate for FJ to NAN for a few weeks.

Didn't SJO go via San Salvador for awhile, or was LAX-SAL a non-stop on it's own?

I'd love to see it, however none of my neurons seem to remember so.

If we want to talk about charters over the years the list will get very long.

As far as I can remember SJO has been via MEX and then GUA.

SJO can stay on the list.

The nonstop isn't in the 2/96 timetable or the 4/97; it is in the 7/96-12/96-1/97. Twice weekly, leave LAX late FrSa night, return SaSu morning.

10/92 timetable:

LAX-GRU 1300-0650
return 0115-0735
3/week-- to be daily starting in December

LAX-CDG 1330-0950
return 1140-1435 (I read somewhere they needed more crew if the flight was scheduled 12 hrs, and the pilots complained the 11:55 schedule wasn't excessively realistic for a 767)

LAX-AKL 2145-0740
return 2020-1115
3/week

In the 4/93 timetable. LAX-HKG flight 1 1250-1820; return 1205-1005

It definitely did. The first time I flew United to SJO was via San Salvador on a B757. I vividly remember sitting in a small cold waiting room with the other continuing customers at 4:45 in the morning for almost an hour while they serviced the plane.
