AC A333 Executive First Question

Hello,

I wanted to throw out two questions about the AC A333 aircraft with Ex. First. I was looking at their website, and it shows that they have only one of eight aircraft with the newer Ex. First layout. Is this still accurate and up to date? Do they plan to have more converted by May? I am not sure of the retirement schedule due to 777/787 deliveries (or if these have been slowed down), so I am not sure how long the 333s are to remain with the fleet and whether it makes financial sense to convert them. Finally, does the one 333 (or more if they have converted more) stay on certain routes or is it moved throughout the system. I am curious since I am suppose to fly 4 from NRT to YVR on May 10th and I was curious which type of seat to expect.

Thanks,

Iowa744fan

The A330s are currently in the process of getting the XM product. By the beginning of the summer schedule, all A330s will have the new interiors, and a consistent long-haul product will be offered.

All NRT flights are on 777s.

Currently that may be true, but when the YYZ-NRT goes non stop again, the YVR-NRT flight reverts to a smaller aircraft.

March 28th - AC3/4 starts operating with a B763
May 1 - AC 3/4 switches to an A333
August 1 - AC 3/4 is upgauged again to a 77W

ACs website is showing an A333 being used for AC004.

You must be looking at dates later in the year after the YYZ-NRT nonstop is reinstated. I just looked at current YVR-NRT schedules in the AC site and they all show 777-300ER, but on a couple of random dates in June it is back to 333.

AC's XM schedule shows 2 more due for completion by the end of February.

I must have defied odds by getting an XM refitted A333 on YUL YYZ last week. I must say I really like the layout and comfort of that a/c in the new XM format, glad to see AC did it. What struck me is how new it looks inside with the makeover,

According to Contrails, in addition to Fin 938 that is already XMed, three other planes are currently being XMed, they are fin no. 932, 934 and 937. Logically they should be done by May.

934 and 937 are in the shop currently and are due out 2/11 and 2/24 respectively.

There is no note of 932 being in the shop.

Right now the A/C with the new seats is on the YUL-FRA-YUL route until 5MAR. Then the route will get again a T7.
