Hey everyone! To make a long story shot, I have to interview a person who's profession is in a field I like. So obviously I picked aviation, and I'm interviewing a NWA A320 pilot. I have some of the basic questions, but I was wondering if there are any particular questions I should ask. Or, if you want an answer to a question post it here before Friday, March 30. If you guys want, I'll post the questions and answers from the pilot. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Ask him if he knows if NW has any plans to reinstall the A320 with IFE (inflight entertainment) now that they have them flying on pretty long routes. He might not have a clue, but it is worth asking.

Okay, I'll be glad to ask him and post the answer under a new thread after Friday. Are there any more questions...?

Ask him how much $ he makes Also where he flys and how he became a pilot, or maybe why he chose the A320.

I expect that he was flying the Dc9 or 727 earlier, so if you would like to ask him which airplane (that he have flown) he prefears to fly, and also why NW 1231's second leg (MSP-FAR) are opperated with Dc9's on saturdays (only that day)and all the other flights and the previous leg (CMH-MSP) are opperated by A319/320.
You can also ask him which flight he flied on 21th March 2001.
You can also ask which routes he flies most frequently.

Ask him how he felt transitioning from a standard yoke cockit, to the 320s joystick. Also, ask him how he feels, as a pilot, about the 320s hard limit's fly-by-wire system, and the plane inparticular, it's pro's and con's.
Thanks, Tom

Ask if their are any regional routes outta DTW that have a chance to see A319/A320's replacing the DC9-50's currently used. He has to have heard some of the cities that havent had A320's in the past, that may see them in the near future.... IE GRB,TVC,LSE,MBS,LAN.

Not really a question but let him know that all the Northwest pilots I've heard out at YYC are really good guys. They even let me depart in my little 172 instead of them first once! That attitude goes a long way to making aviation even better!

Ask him if it bothers him to see Mesaba's (Northwest Airlink) Avros being flown by pilots that make 1/4 of the pay that he does. Follow up by asking if he thinks regional jets are a threat to his quality of life.
