I was wondering, now that DL is converting their remaining domestic 764ER fleet to international duties, I wonder, what aircraft type will be used on the SLC-HNL flight in the future?

I know that ATL-HNL is going from 2x 764ER to 1x 744. However, what will be done about SLC-HNL? It could perhaps go to a domestic 763, which only has 23 fewer seats than the domestic 764ERs. Another possibility is to use an A333 on the route, which features 298 seats. The third alternative would be to use 2x ETOPS 752 on the route.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It'll be the 767-300 ETOPS domestic configuration (24F/238Y=262). The plus is these aircraft have AVOD.

I am expecting that eventually all of DL's aircraft to Hawaii will be AVOD-equipped, including the 753s and 744s.

Is that speculation or inside info?
