Out of 2008 new routes, only 2 came to real - HU's PEK-SEA/TXL. Well, China Eastern already had operated daily PVG-LAX, so I don't know what that 2 weekly flight means. And China Southern couldn't make any of their 2008 plan of the article. So I doubt any of 2009 plan will be realized.

Quoting YVR1968 (Thread starter): Anybody know anything about the announced route (late 2007) from CAN-YVR?
Supposed to start in July 2009 but nothing officially announced?
I have been told that the supposed new CAN-YVR service has been put on hold and is unlikely to be re-considered until at least mid-2010 (or more likely 2011).

Their 763ER would do the job OK. That's not to say I think it's going to happen anytime soon...

Yeah, I think that flash news article has pretty much fizzled and died. It looks like most of the those new routes announced are not happening. And those (very few, if not 2 only) that have started (Hainan to SEA and TXL for example) are not performing well. That article, now, appears just to be a lot of words....
