I was at MHR this morning (planning on taking the Intel air shuttle up to Oregon, but due to weather delays I ended up just going back to the office). While I was waiting there I looked out across the ramp and saw a "classic" 747 parked out there. The color scheme looked a lot like FedEx's, but there were no FedEx titles anywhere on the plane, just an all white body and painted tail. It looked like the tail could have been painted purple like FedEx, but it was hard make out the color due to glare from the sun. There also may have been very small titles around the upper deck, but those were also impossible to read from my vantage point. And of course that means I couldn't see the reg number, either.
I don't think it actually was FedEx, though, because they use SMF, not MHR, and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they even have any 747s in their fleet. So who does it belong to?
I checked flightaware, and it didn't show any 747s arriving at MHR for as far back their history goes, so it seems like this flight must have been blocked from flightaware for whatever reason.

That's Atlas' N512MC. Some of the cargo companies that run govt. charters out of Travis (SUU) stage the planes at MHR when they don't need to be on base. Normally they do show up on FA as GTI****, so I'm not sure how that one slipped in, but it came in on Tuesday or so. I drive the flightline on my way home every night, and it definately came in early this week.

Yep, but it looks like this now (This is a picture of 355MC, but they're in the same scheme). Not sure when the paint change occured, but it's painted up just like this now. Seems to me they're trying to make the Polar/Atlas planes interchangeable.
