Co-workers to vote on paint job for new aircraft

In honor of CO’s 75th anniversary, the company will paint one of the new 737-900ER aircraft to be delivered this year in a retro livery from the company’s past.

Co-workers will be able to vote for their choice of four designs. Read tomorrow’s Daily News Update for details on how to vote

I wonder if the Meatball would be considered, considering the Lorenzo fiasco.

I am sure the meatball will be included in the available choices. However I will be voting for (and I am sure most employees will as well) The Golden Jet.

While this is great news and I applaud CO, a 738 would visit so many more CO stations and airports than a 737-900ER, as to me the more employees, customers, and members of the public that can view (and in our case, photograph) the aircraft the better.

Just my two cents.

While they're at it, I'd like to see Continental re-paint their entire fleet.
Not of fan of their current livery.

It is going to be an as yet undelivered aircraft. I think we are only taking 9ER's for the next bit. I don't believe we take an 800 again now until 2010.

Black meatball would work, the red meatball is far too associated w/ the Lorenzo era at Continental.

Personally I would vote for the Golden Jet scheme.

if they do the meatball please do the black one - the red one was terrible ( was it true that they changed from black to red meatball to reflect that the airline had gone from black ink to red ink  Wink )

I think the second (more recent) Golden Jet would rank first, while the Black Meatball would be second. Either would be fine, but the Golden Jet seems to "fit in" with their current livery somewhat better.

25 DocLightning : Why do airlines always do this with a 737 or A320? USE A 777. PLEASE! Thank you.
