Just heard a plane crashed outside of buffalo, NY! Rumors have it was a Colgan aircraft! Just is just breaking, heard from a pilot in the area who knows an emergency responder out there! will post more info as it breaks!

You ain't kidding Cal.. I have trees and power lines down all around my neighborhood here in Youngstown. A few neighbors are running on generators because their electrical lines to their homes were crushed by pine tree's.
Winds were 50-55kts yesterday here, and I am guessing around 40-45kts around Buffalo this evening. Could be a factor for sure.

FlightAware normally cuts off the last little part of the route...could just be a glitch.

Colgan 3407 is the aircraft in question, a Dash 8 Q400! It is on the live ATC archives and it is all over the approach and tower frequency! Apparently it was just prior to the outer marker! More info as it breaks! Still waiting on the press to break it!
