The ATC tower is 91 meters tall. From the picturs you can see the overview of the teminal, airport trains station, surroundings etc.

Terminal 2 will be ready in a few yeas with adittional a/c parking spaces and possibly a viewpointinside the terminal for aircraft enthusiasts.... Smile

The problem with such a tall tower is that OSL suffers from fog in the valley where the airport is built. A few years ago I was on the flight deck of a Braathens B734 descending into OSL. (Full flight, on standby, pre 9/11) Brilliant sunshine and good view of the top 20 metres of the tower. The rest of the airport was invisible in the fog.

Thanks for the pic.. I was in oslo in 2005.. we stayed at the radisson in the hotel, amazing few of the awesome control tower from our hotel room.

The Oslo area has been more or less covered with snow for the 4 weeks or so. Even down town Oslo we have almost a feet and more as you get out on the country side or up in the hills nearby
